Trial

A trial definition consists of several trial commands that define the actual events as experiences by the test participant. A trial definition with one or more variable command arguments is called a trial schema. In this case the final values for the trial commands will be defined later at the block level.

Whenever trials have the same event structure and only differ by content or timing, it is recommended to define only one single trial schema and set variable parameters for the variable aspects. A trial schema is a very powerful concept as it reduces code and makes it easy to define and list the independent variables at the block level.
